Happy Thursday! The day started with The Daily Chronicle. The Barbie doll made its debut at the American International Toy Fair in New York City today in 1959! It was Bobby Fischer (considered second best chess player ever) birthday today. Everyone agreed that they weren’t fans of chess and said it’s too slow. There was also a good Chinese proverb, “Life is like a game of chess, changing with each move.” Next, was stretches and our fun game of balloon toss! A grandson of a resident surprised us by singing and playing a few songs on the fiddle as well! It was great! Lastly, we watched “The Oldest Man: The Hot Dog Vendor” from The Carol Burnett Show! This afternoon, we played several games of bingo. It was a good time had by all! Music Safari was after bingo! Jennifer played Irish music today, including Bing Crosby’s “Tura Lura Lural” and many songs on the piano including, “Danny Boy.” Everyone knew most of the songs so there was a lot of singing! They played sticks and rain sticks along to the music! She also had some fun Irish trivia and word games. It was a wonderful time! ~Jessic
