Happy Thursday! It was a nice morning that started with stretches and a short walk. Then we all had a good laugh to jokes and things kids had to say! Residents also shared stories about their jobs and reminisced about coffee parties with neighbors. It was a wonderful afternoon having a quick sing-along before enjoying a tasty sweet treat of chocolate brownies and coffee and chatting! The brownies were a hit!
Hello and happy Wednesday! Our morning was spent in the sunshine in the garden- enjoying the flowers, blue sky and the breeze. We had lovely conversations about going Up North to cabins or to see the North Shore. One particular funny thing was the discussion about Betty's Pies' and their very unique pie milkshakes. It was a great morning! Our afternoon was a hoot since we received a visit from our very own "ice cream truck". It was wonderful to hear the sounds and of course, the yummy ice cream! Please enjoy the photos!
We had a great morning exercising our bodies with some stretches, visiting and reminiscing, and singing. What a busy and fun afternoon too! We enjoyed a social hour before having a good time playing a few games of bingo! We ended the day with beautiful music by Andre Rieu.
Happy Sunday! It was a great day here in the Willows- the day after the 4th of July! Hoping you all had a great Independence Day celebration. Our day began with Ebeneezer Worship services shown on the TV and then we spent some time in the garden before the afternoon sun made it too hot. I do have to say, at 11:00am it was 90 degrees- we are lucky to be in the shade at that time- so it wasn't too bad. Lunch was wonderful and we all started with an ice cold glass of lemonade! Our afternoon was relaxing with a social hour, reminisce groups and a showing of the Capital 4th. I have 2 photos, we have many residents that are pianists! Here are two collaborating over some of their favorite pieces!
We had such a busy fun day here in the Willows- lots of outside family visits, fireworks shows, reminisce groups about Independence days gone by and our Happy Hour today had homemade strawberry shortcake! WOW! I only managed to get one shot in amongst the fun- this captures it!
Happy Thursday! It was a very nice morning spent outside in the garden! We enjoyed taking walks and looking at the flowers and singing patriotic songs together like, "God Bless America" and "You're a Grand Old Flag." We spent the afternoon chatting and having a tasty snack of ice cream and short bread cookies. After that, some residents enjoyed listening to John Philip Sousa music while others worked on word finds. It was a wonderful day!
It was an amazing day! The Primrose Preschool Pals paraded around our building in patriot hats and clothes. We waved pom poms, shook cow bells all having a wonderful time! It was a wonderful way to celebrate an early Independence dAY!
Happy Monday! It was a nice morning in The Willows with walks and funny Fourth of July jokes and stories that made us really laugh! We also had a great afternoon playing a few games of bingo and enjoying a snack of delicious fruit. Residents that played bingo were also happy to win chocolate! The day ended with some wonderful John Philip Sousa music. It was a great day!
