Happy Monday! Everyone had a wonderful time with Pastor Mari at devotions this morning. They sang "Holy, Holy, Holy," "Fairest Lord Jesus," and "Jesus Loves Me" and they reminisced about country church's. Then we all enjoyed some funny YouTube videos. It was a great time playing games of bingo together this afternoon and spending some time outside in the garden. We just love looking at our beautiful flowers! Lastly, we sang a few songs before dinner. It was a great day!
It was a wonderful weekend! We spent a lot of time outside on the patio chatting, exercising, and singing! Bingo on Saturday and baking on Sunday was also a great time!
Happy Thursday! Our day began with the What's Next (finish the line) game and then we moved on to exercises with a few stretches. We ended the morning by watching funny videos of animals and kids and we all definitely had a good laugh before lunch. After lunch we laughed more with Johnny Carson animal videos! Then everyone enjoyed a good ice cream treat followed by fun ice cream trivia. The afternoon ended with lots of music and singing! It was a great day!
Happy Monday! It was a lovely morning spent at devotions with Pastor Mari and also time outside in the garden. We all had a good laugh with some funny stories and sang some songs and we before we knew it, it was already time for lunch! This afternoon, we had a good time playing bingo and enjoying our visit from Diane and Tolstoy!
Happy Friday! Well, the rain finally ended and we got to enjoy the sunshine this afternoon! Our morning started with the Daily Chronicles, Stretch and Flex and a super summer trivia game. Ice cream seemed to be main focus of summer fun- so we all watched a brief tutorial on making homemade ice cream. This brought so many wonderful memories of childhood and trying to be the first to get to taste the paddle in the old crank handle ice cream makers! Some residents joined a group to lunch, Theresa's Mexican Restaurant here in Lakeville, other residents ate the delicious French Dip sandwiches from Chef Matt here in The Willows. After lunch we enjoyed the sunshine and enjoyed a wonderful piano concert from James. Before dinner we continued the music by watching the US Marines Band perform the most popular matches from John Philips Sousa. Many residents were clapping along and one even marched around pretending to have a baton- now that's the spirit! What fun! Enjoy the photos! |
