Happy Friday! It was a great morning with a sing along with Claire and Jennifer from Music Safari and a Halloween parade from the Primrose School kindergarteners! Everyone loved it! We also had a fun afternoon at our social and playing bingo!

Hello and happy Tuesday! It was a busy and good morning. We started with the weather report and exercises. Then we enjoyed a few funny puns before some trivia all about chocolate and ice cream! We all of course had to share what our favorite kind of ice cream is and what we like on sundaes. The morning ended with a couple segments from The Carol Burnett Show. Laughter filled the room, it was wonderful! It was a fun filled afternoon at our social hour! We visited with one another and enjoyed some freshly baked cookies and coffee. We also took a look at some books and kept busy working on word finds. It was a great day!
Happy Monday! It was a nice morning that began with stretches and flexes which felt good to get moving a little bit. We had a great time with a finish the musical lyrics and it was wonderful to hear everyone sing their hearts out! There were many classic songs we sang including, "When Irish Hearts Are Smiling" and "Daisy Bell." It was a fantastic afternoon chatting, enjoying coffee and a snack of crackers and cheese, and playing bingo! It was a fun time!
Happy Friday! We had a lovely morning with a sing along with Claire from Music Safari. They listened sang to all sorts of classic songs including some Hank Williams and Elvis Presley. It was a great time! We had a wonderful afternoon enjoying tasty carrot cake and coffee, chatting, and looking at some books and magazines. The day ended with a classic musical with Bing Crosby and Donald O'Conner, "Anything Goes." It was a great day!
Our Music Safari music and movement class was wonderful! Everyone loved singing and moving to classic songs like "Stand By Me" and "For Me and My Gal." It was great to hear everyone sing their hearts out!
Happy Tuesday! It was a good start to the day with our morning weather report and exercising and stretching our bodies. We enjoyed travel and on the road themed trivia and watched travel videos of the Rocky Mountains and some states like Texas. A resident shared a story of how her, her husband, and five kids all packed in a station wagon and took an adventurous road trip to California. It was a wonderful afternoon socializing and enjoying coffee and tasty cookies. We ended the day by watching the musical, "The Music Man!" It was a great day!
Happy Monday! We had a nice and busy morning exercising our minds and bodies with stretches and finish the proverbs, sayings and tunes. We sang a few favorite classic songs like "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling" and "Oh, What a Beautiful Morning." Before lunch, we enjoyed watching YouTube videos of adorable babies and dogs together which gave everyone big smiles! It was a great afternoon together visiting and having coffee and a snack of crackers and cheese. Bingo was after that! It was a good time had by all but the winners especially had a good time winning that chocolate!
Happy Sunday! Ebenezer services were played this morning with Corporate Chaplain Chris Beckmen, it was nice to hear some lovely hymns and such a beautiful message. After our church services we gathered foor the news, weather and stretches, our morning staples. We had just enough time before lunch for some lovely music that we could sing along to and even dance in our chairs! Lunch today was a delicious oriental chicken salad. This afternmoon we all enjoyed the Willows garden and sunshine for a bit- but the wind was blowing fairly hard- so we went out just for a taste. When we came in we gathered in the Dining Room for some conversation, coffee and rice crispy treats! It was a great Sunday!
Happy Saturday! Our weekend had a wonderful start with the gathering of the residents for stretching, happy news and weather. The circus was our trivia/ reminsce theme today! It was wonderful to hear about all of the memories of the circus, the popcorn, candy floss and the clowns! We even sang "The Daring Young Man on the Flying trapezze"! For an encore we watched a Circ de Sole juggler perform on You Tube. Our afternoon was spent in our Willows garden! Thank heavens the beautiful weather continues!
