Happy Thursday! What a wonderful day and a very special treat to have our friends from Herritage Christian Academy visit us here at the Fountains! They were a lovely bunch of 3rd and 4th graders that spread Christmas cheer to all with carols, candy canes, festive headbands and even a fun Christmas craft for us all to make. The residents had a wonderful time! This afternoon we had a wonderful holiday reminsce group and our favorite Music Therapist, Jennifer joined us for Music Safari. Enjoy the pictures!

Happy Monday! It was a wonderful morning that started with devotions with Pastor Mari. We sang a few songs including, "Sweet Hour of Prayer," "Praise to the Lord, the Almighty," and "Jesus Loves Me." It was a lovely devotion about raising of the sun is when our praises go up. It was a very nice time spent again! Next we put on some Andy Williams Christmas songs while we stretched and sang along with the music! The morning ended with a Christmas music sing along! We're all ready for Christmas! A group played several fun games of bingo this afternoon! It was a great time! This evening, a few residents worked on a Christmas tree craft. They all looked so nice when they were done! It's looking like Christmas now here in The Willows as staff and wonderful volunteers helped to decorate!
~Jessica Happy Friday! It was a great morning! Our morning started with exercising our minds and bodies with mind joggers and stretches. We then had a very fun game of balloon toss with multiple balloons! We ended with some humorous YouTube videos of kids. The residents kept commenting on how cute they were! There were so many smiles and laughter filled the room all morning! This afternoon, we played a Thanksgiving Price is Right game and had a sing-along with many favorite old-time songs. It was a great time!
~Jessica Happy Wednesday! It was a very busy and fun day today: Church services with Pastor George, Rosary, exercise, lots of individual time and Turkey Bingo! Sorry, not too much time to type- but enjoy the photos! Please to read the leaves on our thankfulness tree, we added leaves during our turkey bingo... some of them are priceless! Happy Thanksgiving!
~Melissa Happy Tuesday! Our day began with a great Trivia group, several of our topics included "In the kitchen", "Holiday traditions" and "Turkey talk". During our turkey talk topic a resident shared some great stories about how the turkeys on her grandmothers farm would chase her and her brother after they would try to talk to them... using a great turkey gobble, gobble! This turned out into a sort of "do your best turkey call"- it was hilarious. Next we played some revised volleyball- dont let these ladies fool you by their age, many of them still have a great "spike"! After that we stretched to some gentle music. Holiday Baking Reminisce group was very popular and quite chatty- full of wonderful memories of past Holiday cooking stories- burnt pies and frozen turkeys. After lunch we we had a popcorn party and we all made some classic "I'm thankful for..." trees. We also had some time for some creative art. It was a wonderful day. Please enjoy the photos. It was a busy and wonderful Monday! Pastor Mari came to do devotions with everyone. She told us a couple humorous Thanksgiving stories and the residents shared how they feel blessed. Pastor Mari had a great devotion about giving thanks in all circumstances. We had a pretty big group this morning so there were many amazing voices singing "Doxology," "Amazing Grace," and "Jesus Loves Me." Everyone had a very nice time! Next we exercised with the balloons and then enjoyed fun turkey and Thanksgiving trivia! It was such a good morning! We all had a good time playing bingo and had a super fun time with Diane and Tolstoy today!
~Jessica Happy Sunday! It was a good start to the day with some wonderful music with a Bill and Gloria Gaither video. A small group also had a good time playing Scrabble! The morning ended with an exciting beach ball toss game! After lunch, we all sang some amazing hymns together before we had a visit from Hosanna! Heart kids. Two eight year olds made some very nice artwork for the residents and everyone enjoyed seeing the children show their art! It was so nice of them! We also enjoyed painting and working on word finds this afternoon for a while before dinner. Of course we watched some of the Vikings game too! It was a nice Sunday!
