Happy final day of 2019! It's been a wonderful day here in The Willows celebrating! Our morning was spent with the weather, local happy news, exercise and we even watched Australia and London ring in the new year! We read the history of Auld Ang Sine and sang the beloved tune. Our afternoon was spent with snowflake crafting and more reminiscing of new years gone by... it's nice to remember that its the little things in life that truly make us the happiest, eating popcorn and playing cards with the family or sneaking a sip of your dads beer on New Years! Happy New Year from your Fountains friends!

It was a wonderful weekend! Saturday morning began with exercise with the parachute. It was a fun time had by all! Then we all had a good laugh to jokes and humorous stories. The afternoon was busy playing bingo and listening to and singing songs. We began our Sunday morning by singing several Christmas carols one last time. Next, we stretched and flexed our bodies before tossing the beach ball to each other for a bit. It was a great afternoon listening to a young piano player. She played all sorts of music from classical to Christmas and residents loved it! We also watched the Vikings game while others worked on a puzzle. The day ended with a sing along of our favorite old-time songs.

It was a wonderful weekend here in The Willows at The Fountains at Hosanna! The weekends are such a wonderful time with the business of the season and all of the family visits! Our highlight, besides our daily fun "regulars"- like, exercise and the daily report, was the Camarate Brass Christmas Concert on Sunday! Wowza, what a beautiful sound echoed though the halls! We also started working on our snowflakes for the dining room- so lots of smiles from all of the glitter! Carols and visits and meals all in between! Merry Christmas to all!

Next we stretched and flexed our bodies for a little exercise. The weather report was a happy one... highs in the upper 30's this week! Yippee! For Arm Chair Travel we watched a wonderful little show about the European Christmas markets. The residents loved it, especially all of the handmade toys and chocolates! It was set to beautiful music, so it was a feast for the eyes and ears. After lunch and a rest break we all gathered for some holiday sweets and coffee- pumpkin or apple pie- need I say anything more- all were happy and when we weren't chewing, we were telling stories and reminiscing about our youth and the magic of Christmas. We also watched a touch of White Christmas before dinner. Stellar day!
