​Volunteer Opportunities through Spiritual Care

  • Seeking Self-starting Handyman who enjoys a variety of home maintenance tasks. Serve as your schedule permits. 
  • Share a God Story during the Message of a Wednesday 10:15 a.m. Fountains Residents' Ecumenical Worship Service. Residents are enjoying a series of stories that speak of God's love, care and provision. As Christ followers, we know we each have stories of God's faithfulness! Your story, told within 10-12 minutes, would bless our residents during an upcoming service.
  • Communion Visitors One time per month, give communion to residents, 1:1, within their apartments. Training provided.
Volunteer Opportunities through Activities

  • 1:1 Social Visits with Memory Care and Assisted Living Residents
  • 1:1 Technology Help – Teach residents basic computer skills like navigating the internet, using email, smartphones, etc.
  • Art Class Helper – Assist residents as they create their artwork
  • Arts & Crafts- Help prepare projects or join residents and staff in creating crafts
  • Baking in The Willows (Memory Care Area) – Help make a tasty treat by assisting residents with various aspects of baking
  • Book Club Leader – Facilitate selection, acquire large print books; facilitate discussion OR work in conjunction with activity director to complete the tasks of reading the selection and facilitating discussion
  • Bus Outing Helper – travel on residents’ bus outings and assist residents who utilize wheelchairs, etc.
  • Coffee Talk Group in The Willows (Memory Care Area) – Serve residents coffee and chat. Simple and fun!
  • Cooking Host/Helper – assist a group of residents in whipping-up a special recipe just for fun and fellowship sake
  • Event Escorts - help escort residents in wheelchairs to various weekday events
  • Game Host – help with set-up and clean-up; play various board or card games with residents
  • Game Host in The Willows (Memory Care Area) – help with set-up and clean-up; play various board or card games with residents
  • Gardening Enthusiasts for The Willows’ Patio or Fountains’ Bistro/Fireplace Patio – lend your green thumb to making one of our beautiful outdoor spaces all the more enjoyable!
  • Happy Hour Host – Friday afternoons; help with set-up and clean-up; help serve snacks and beverages to residents
  • Men’s Group Leader for independent and assisted living residents
  • Men’s Group in The Willows (Memory Care Area) – Sit with the men and ‘shoot the breeze!’
  • Movie Host – afternoon and early evening shifts available; play a movie and serve snacks and beverages to residents
  • Musicians of All Kinds - Evening dinner music, daytime events, impromptu "concerts", special music for Wednesday worship service, etc.
  • Nail Painting – visit and give our female residents the gift of a ‘little pampering’ with pretty fingernail polish
  • Pet Therapy – seeking pets (and their humans) to visit with our residents, 1:1 or in small gatherings
  • Shopping Companions – Accompany residents on Fountains’ bus to shop local retail stores during weekday hours
  • Teach on something you are passionate about! Example topics: woodworking, birdwatching, baking, a special craft – we’d love to hear your ideas!
  • Walking Host – accompany residents on strolls outdoors or indoors in Hosanna Church’s Atrium
  • Women’s Group Leader for independent and assisted living residents​

Due to Covid protocols and precautions, each of our onsite volunteers are required to wear a protective mask when in our building and/or with our residents, as The Fountains at Hosanna Senior Living is considered a health care facility.
 
In addition, all onsite volunteers must also have one of the following:
     -Both Covid vaccine shots of the two-step vaccines
​          (Moderna or Pfizer)

     -A shot of the one step vaccine (Johnson & Johnson)
and
     -An annual flu vaccine
