It was a wonderful day here in the Willows despite our current lockdown situation due to Covid-19. Our morning was spent together doing our usual stretch and flex exercise group and during the news update afterwards we stumbled upon an amazing article in the paper about a 105 year old woman that sprinted a 100 meter dash! Can you imagine? We had wonderful conversations about our former sporting and hobbies throughout our lives and what we are still enjoying. We did an arm chair travel group to Costa Rica just before lunch. Lunch was a big hit with Carolina pulled pork BBQ sandwiches on the menu- yummy! After lunch we enjoyed a virtual visit with Claire from Music Safari and got to sing along to all our favorite movie tunes. Social hour was a nice connection time, not to mention the appetizers from the kitchen- Chinese dumplings! Not everyone liked them, but still, it was fun to try something new.

It was a wonderful day celebrating Veteran's Day with our Willows residents! Special Patriotic music and poetry and a special lunch just for our veterans. Each veteran received a red carnation flower to wear so we could honor them all day! We all celebrated with ice-cream in the afternoon. Sorry I didn't get more photos, but it was very busy day and we all had a lot of fun!
